Some milestones

Educational component:

Annually, we deliver pedagogical kits to help students take their classes.
We implemented a menstrual health and education process benefiting 6,000 menstruating people that includes educational materials and a menstruation management kit.

We worked with more than 3,000 mothers, fathers and caregivers, allowing greater support to students through recreational activities.
The families impacted by the project have improved their care and relationship with their children by 13%.
We delivered the game “Talking Families” to encourage dialogue among family members.

We strengthened the capacities of 1017 teachers and directors in sexual education through training and national meetings.
We supported the school radio station in the municipality of El Carmen de Atrato – Chocó.
We delivered pedagogical suitcases for schools to continue replicating Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE).

Intercultural component: we weaved intercultural dialogues and
training processes with the Nasa and Wayuu population, such as the Circles of the Word.
From Inside: is a song that addresses the feelings of the situations experienced by children and adolescents in the municipality of Miranda.
Alliances with the private sector: we delivered menstrual products with the company Nosotras and with Miner S.A.

Institutional strengthening for comprehensive attention to cases of gender-based violence against children and adolescents.
Development of extramural sexual and reproductive health brigades for the Project’s beneficiary population, in coordination with Profamilia’s clinics and all health service providers in the municipalities.

“100 Valiente Voices Say”: Advocacy for the elimination of Child marriage and early unions in Colombia: The girls, boys and adolescents have led advocacy actions to achieve the regulatory change to increase the age of marriage in the country from 14 to 18 years old. Likewise, they lead the visibility of Child Marriages and Early Unions as a form of gender violence.
Around Them: communication campaign that promoted the participation of 4 girls from the Valiente project in the national media, to talk about the importance of listening to the voices of girls.
Visit to NASA: 5 girls from the Valiente Project from the municipalities of Uribia and Carmen de Atrato, have visited nasa and lived the experience of being Astronauts, thanks to the fact that they have been able to participate in different national calls in which they have stood out for their leadership and female empowerment.
Regional Conference on Population and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean-2024: 4 students participated in trainings to strengthen their participation in discussions where they exposed issues such as Child Marriage and Early Unions.
