What are they?

Family planning is carried out through contraceptive methods and products designed to prevent unintended pregnancies. These methods allow individuals who have started or plan to start their sexual life to enjoy their sexuality freely and responsibly.

At Profamilia, we provide comprehensive care that begins with information about the available contraceptive methods, so that each person can make a well-informed decision. Afterwards, a health professional assesses the individual’s health conditions and determines whether there are any usage restrictions or contraindications for one or more methods.

Once the evaluation is complete and the person’s decision is taken into account, the chosen method is initiated—either through prescription or by performing the required procedure (method insertion or scheduling a surgery, if that is the chosen option).

The service also includes follow-up consultations and, when necessary or desired, removal of the method. All our services are based on confidentiality of medical information and full respect for the Sexual and Reproductive Rights that protect everyone.

For young people aged 10 to 28, we offer specialized youth services with a focus on education, guidance, and information.
