- We have impacted more than 14,000 children and adolescents.
- More than 4,600 adults have participated in the project.
- The percentage of children and adolescents who are aware of the concept of sexuality as a central aspect of identity has doubled.
- The percentage of children and adolescents who have a more favorable attitude towards gender equitable gender roles tripled.
- Knowledge of contraceptive methods increased 6 times compared to the beginning of the project.
- Contraceptive use is now 5 times higher than at the beginning of the project.
- Condom use increased during the first sexual intercourse.
- As a result of the work with the adults in the settings, In households, communication and positive parenting practices improved.
- In six of the eight municipalities in the period 2019 to 2022, a reduction in the pregnancy rate of adolescents between 15 and 19 years of age and a decrease in pregnancies in girls between 10 and 14 years of age is reported.
- In general, participants report greater access to sources of information about sexuality, gender-based violence and sexual and reproductive health services.
- These achievements confirm the effectiveness of Comprehensive Sexuality Education and its impact on people’s health and well-being.
