Description of the Profamilia® Menstrual Cup

The Profamilia® Menstrual Cup is made of medical-grade thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), a safe material approved for medical use. It complies with international standards such as BfR, FDA, and 2002/72/EC, and is manufactured under the ISO 9001 quality standard.

Best of all, it’s reusable — you can use the same cup every month for up to 10 years, as long as it remains in good condition. You should only replace it if you notice any cracks, splits, or damage.

You can wear it for 8 to 12 consecutive hours, depending on your flow — during the day or night, while exercising, sleeping, working, or studying. There’s no age limit to use it, making it a safe option from your first period.

It’s important to sterilize the cup before using it for the first time and also before reusing it after it has been stored for a few days. Here are two ways to do it:

1. Boiling water
   Use a dedicated container to sterilize your cup, making sure it can be fully submerged in boiling water for 3 minutes. Then, let it cool down — it will be ready to use.

2. Disinfectant
   You can also use a mild, pH-neutral soap. Soak the cup for 15 minutes and make sure to follow the product’s instructions. Rinse it with boiled water to remove any residue.
